Summary: Submits a restore request for a periodic backup-enabled database or container.

Overview

Cosmos Backup Operator is a built-in Azure RBAC (control-plane) role that can submit a restore request from the Azure portal for a periodic backup-enabled database or container, without granting the ability to read or write item data. This is distinct from CosmosRestoreOperator, which instead performs a restore action for an account configured in continuous backup mode — the two roles apply to the two different backup modes (Periodic Backup vs. Continuous Backup & Point-in-Time Restore).
